Bouquet Encore: Behind the scenes X Pierre Guéros
It's almost always music that inspires Pierre Guguen to create a new fragrance. For Bouquet Encore, he entrusted Pierre Guéros (Symrise) with capturing the essence of an electro party in Barcelona.
From music to perfume.
"It's often a musical discovery - a DJ, a concert, a new sound - that inspires Pierre Guguen," explains Pierre Guéros. The perfumer has signed three fragrances for the brand (Bouquet Encore, Ambre Cello and Liqueur BPM) and knows Pierre Guguen's creative process well. "He shares this musical universe with me, which I try to translate into olfactory tracks. Then we dive straight into the formulation, with all its technical aspects: power, richness, originality...". Then comes the meeting with the artist, to bring sound and fragrance together.
At the origin of Bouquet Encore is the wave that runs through the body, carried by the rhythm and trance of electro festivals. This sensation of power inspired Pierre Guéros to create effects of projection and overdose. Playing on the opulent, bewitching breath of white flowers.
White flowers, sensual and narcotic.
An exuberant floral bouquet. An armful of white flowers, chiseled with harmony. So that they express themselves in unison, singing with the same voice. No single flower - tuberose, jasmine sambac, ylang-ylang, orange blossom - dominates the others. A way of embodying the communion that embraces a crowd exalted by sound.
To compose this intense, harmonious melody, Pierre Guéros played with the green notes of jasmine sambac absolute, the methylated side of ylang-ylang essence and the honeyed nuances of orange blossom absolute. And let's not forget tuberose, as sunny and fleshy as you could wish for. A beautiful bouquet of natural ingredients, to which the formula owes its richness. But that's not all.
A modern, faceted accord.
While its enveloping trail draws on the opulence of white flowers, Bouquet Encore is also dressed in amber woods. Intense notes that bring an androgynous touch to the fragrance, balancing the feminine aura of white flowers. The roundness of the trail also owes much to the warm base notes. A gourmand facet, tinged with vanilla, a hint of veltol (caramel) and tonka bean, to "convey the addiction suggested by the fragrance's name, Bouquet Encore", confides Pierre Guéros. An appetizing dimension that modernizes the floral bouquet.
To prolong the addiction, the perfumer played with Symrise's captives, like nerolione. "A powerful molecule, with orange blossom effects, that offers all its fullness to the floral bouquet". The uplift of pink berries propels the trail, while the tangy freshness of mandarin adds a mischievous touch. The bouquet blossoms on a bed of cottony musks, devilishly comfortable... All the better to lure us into its nets.
This marriage of natural beauty and synthesis, enhanced by the perfumer's talent, has given birth to Bouquet Encore. A solar cocktail, intoxicating... and wildly addictive.
