L'Orchestre Parfum: Behind the scenes Nathalie Feisthauer x Electro Limonade

Nathalie Feisthauer has signed L’Orchestre Parfum’s latest creation, Mono Cachemire. The perfumer had already collaborated with Pierre Guguen in 2020 for Electro Limonade. A fragrance bursting with freshness, perfect for summer, whose creation we reveal to you today behind the scenes.

A feel-good cocktail

It was during the confinement that Pierre Guguen imagined Electro Limonade. A strange pause, where we dream of sharing a drink with friends in the sun, lulled by the good vibes of an electro sound. He contacted Nathalie Feisthauer to compose a fragrance as thirst-quenching as the first sip of a terrace spritz. A joyful fragrance, like that long-awaited moment after confinement, when you meet up with friends and family for the first aperitif.

A lightness that Nathalie Fesithauer translates into a lemonade accord, with accents of gin and tonic or mojito, to evoke the idea of that first “drink” with friends.

A cocktail rich in citrus fruits

To convey the freshness of lemonade, the perfumer played on citrus tones. An accord tinged with the refined bitterness of bergamot, the sparkling nuances of clementine and the acidity of lemon. A natural freshness, which she has enhanced with “the sparkling notes of grapefruit and lime”, she explains.  The yellow mandarin, close to the clementine, enhances its mischievous, luminous charm.

A cologne of sorts that needed to be modernized and given an original touch. Nathalie Feisthauer drew inspiration from cocktails enjoyed at golden hour, on the terrace or at the beach, to modernize this zesty accord.

The result is a minty, herbaceous cocktail.

“I spiced up the lemonade accord with aromatic notes to chisel out a summery, frosty, thirst-quenching cocktail,” she says. She drew on the green nuances of Pouliot mint to recreate the effect of a mojito, renewing the cologne's structure.

An aromatic facet, underlined by the cold, spicy notes of juniper. Its natural bitterness imbues the fragrance with a biting freshness, reminiscent of a gin and tonic. The rising tones of ginger and elemi enhance the fragrance's spicy, sparkling dimension.

A cocktail with an electro vibe.

Pierre Guguen dreamt of his first cocktail bathed in electro waves. Like those of the NIID duo, whom he chose to accompany and embody Electro Limonade. Nathalie Fesithauer suggested the vibrancy of aldehydes, who’s powerful, rising voice unfurls the surging flight of citrus.  An effect supported by rhubarb (a fruity note reproduced with the help of synthesis), whose fruity green flashes, a touch metallic, reproduce the “slightly laser” aspect that Pierre Guguen wanted to bring to the fragrance.

This vibrant, electro dimension also brings an original twist to the cologne register.

With Electro Limonade, the perfumer has created an original fresh composition for the brand, whose “feel good” charm is amplified by neroli - an essential note in cologne - whose relaxing effects are well known. This cocktail, bursting with freshness and good humor, is set against a woody base (vetiver, incense) that lends hold to the whole. And let's not forget those famous enveloping, silky musks, for which Nathalie Feisthauer has the secret.
